Five years!

Mo and I were married! I cannot believe that it's been five years already and we're an old married couple. I love it!

Well, I'm off to watch the second half of Office Space. In an effort to raise company morale, we get to watch a movie about those abused by their company. The irony is too great.

After an extremely long break from the online world, I'm finally testing the waters again. I'm once again, attempting to use this weblog as my creative outlet.

And boy oh boy... let me tell you. I really need one!

Lately, I've been feeling really burned out. Frustrated with work, and in a horrible frame of mind that made me want to take a break from... well everything! Initially, I think the hiatus was good for me. I took a step back and re-evaluated where I wanted to be. But then, the worst thing possible happened. I became lazy.

It became easier to do nothing then to try to find what made me really happy. So finally, I realized that I needed to branch out and do something that really interested me. And guess what the number one thing that I missed and wanted to get back into? *drum roll please*

Writing!

So here are my plans:

1) Start writing again... anything! Hence the revitalization of overcaffeinated.

2) Enroll in a writing class to really learn the craft.

3) Force myself to write for "x" number of hours a week. When I was younger, I had the discipline to block off an hour or two everyday to write in some way. And on the days I felt blocked, I would edit. This worked out really well, and I think it will again.

So I have a favour to ask of you now. If you ever, ever see me dissapear for a long period of time again. Tell me to get off my ass already...!
